Happy Mothers Day
Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born.
One day the child asked God, "They tell me that you are sending me to Earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there, being so small and helpless?"
And God answered. "I chose an angel for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.
"But here in Heaven all I ever do is sing and smile and laugh. That's enough for me to be happy.
"Your angel will sing for you and will smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy.
"And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language that men speak?" "Your angel will speak to you using the sweetest, most beautiful words you will ever hear; and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak. "And what am I going to do when I talk to you?"
"Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.
I've heard that on Earth there are bad men. Who will protect me from them?" "Your Angel will defend you, even if it means risking her own life.
"But I will be sad because I will not see You anymore.
"Your angel will talk to you about Me, and will teach you the way so that you can come back to Me, though I will always be beside you.
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven. Voices from Earth could already be heard, and the child asked softly.
"God, if I am about to leave now, would you please tell me my angel's name?"
I'm a stay at home Christian mom of 7 kids ranging in age from 19 down to 6. I am truly a country girl at heart and hope to someday move to a small farm out in nowhere :) I love my family and my husband,I love to cook and try new recipes~mostly down home style food I ate growing up.
If you want a glimpse of Southern life,Come close and walk with me;I'll tell you all the simple things,That you are sure to see.You'll see mockingbirds and bumblebees,Magnolia blossoms and dogwood trees;
Caterpillars on the step,Wooden porches cleanly swept;Watermelons on the vine, Strong majestic Georgia pines Rocking chairs and front yard swingsJunebugs flying on a stringTurnip greens and hotcornbread,Coleslaw and barbecueFried okra, fried corn,fried green tomatoes,Fried pies and pickles too.
There's ice cold tea that 's syrupy sweet,And cool, green grass beneath your feet;Catfish nipping in the lake,And fresh young boys on the make.You'll see all these thingsAnd much, much more,In a way of life, that I adore.
