The New Year~

WOW!!! It's almost 2010!I just can't believe that.
I'm not going to make any resolutions this year but I am making some "promises" to myself.(sounds a little better in my mind)
I am hoping to be able to lose some stress/comfort eating weight that I've been carrying around now for about 5 years.
I also want to start exercising.I know I can't do much at first but that's ok.I have a treadmill that's taking up space in the garage so I'm going to bring that inside and actually USE it.
I'm 2 days in to my new "eating/lifestyle" change and so far so good.
I'm not going to deprive myself but I am going to eat less andf try to make more sensible choices.
This year has not been the easiest and I'm feeling much stonger and more confident for the upcoming year ahead. I've come to learn that life is really what we make of it so this year I'm going to do everything I can to make it better for all of us!

Thank you for visiting sweet Amy! I pray 2010 is a wonderful year for you.

Somehow my hubby and I have stayed on our Weight Watchers program during the Holidays. We indulged in "regular food" on Christmas Day, my 12/17 birthday, Thanksgiving and even a tad bit last night. Now...we are back to the lifestyle I'm actually beginning to love. My guy is down 20 pounds and I'm down 18. I hope to lose 20 more.

Blessings to you as you keep your PROMISES (love that) to get fit and healthy. You can do it. If I can, you can!

Love to you~Rebecca

Hey, I have the same new year resolution...doesn't seem too original but I know that I will keep it this year, because I have set to lose my extra weight, and to get into shape. My kids are going on a marathan, and I would like to walk the 1/2 marathon, in May. I have a good treadmill...with a small tv in front of it that I can put in my old movies. Right now I can do 35 minutes at almost 3speed. My goal is to walk in the morning and at night. Last spring I was walking outside, and could do 6 miles several times a day. Now I need to get back to that. I'm also going to eat smaller amounts of food at a time. I really don't like the idea of eating regular meals, because it fills me too much, but if I eat one type of food 3-4 times a day, than I can eat smaller amounts. Like just oatmeal, then later a boiled egg or two. Then maybe later apple or orange. Then later a piece of salmon. I have noticed that if I use tea as a snack, I won't really snack. Have you tried Chai tea, and use just about a 1/4 cup of skim milk. It takes like a real dessert! Good luck with your resolution. :)
